This year’s 10th annual Hirschmann Golf Classic at the Proctor Pittsford Country Club had employees, owners and customers enjoying each other’s company on a perfect Vermont late summer day on August 22nd . Company founder Helmut Hirschmann, as many of you may remember, had only passed away the previous year on August 24, so it was of great comfort to see the trophies he designed and handcrafted being cherished by the winning teams. Somehow it almost seems that the “Outhouse Trophy” because of it’s original design is even more sought after than the first price low score trophy. This year we were yet again fortunate to keep it in the company. Robert Ketcham, our production manager and technical supervisor, together with Chuck Williams, Karen Horton and Gaelyn Williams were the proud losing team. The trophy for now is placed in Gaelyn’s drafting office facing into the shop assembly area. The winning team with low score of 69 consisted of Chris Brown, head of the WinVision Division of Arnold Lumber located in Rhode Island, Hirschmann’s Operations Manager Dan Shea, long time employee Steven Bigwood and guest player Tony Freson. The event ended with a few drinks and a nice prime rib dinner hosted by Garafano’s Grill at PPCC. We hope next year to add even more players to this fun annual event connecting our company employees to clients and suppliers.
